I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE HERE!

My name is Kilauni, born and raised on the West Coast otherwise known as…the best coast! I also take pride in my family ancestry being rooted throughout the southern states and across the Caribbean!

I earned my BA of Psychology from CSU Channel Islands and my MS of Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University.

My story of becoming a Marriage & Family Therapist has been quite the page turner but I am blessed to say I am living my purpose. An ample amount of my clinical experience has been with youth and adolescents from residential treatment facilities. My roles included supporting severely disturbed youth through individualized treatment and family therapies. Notably, my favorite responsibility was building healthy relationships with each youth to demonstrate what a safe and trusted adult resembles.

Some of my other clinical work has been providing psychotherapy to under-served young adults (18-25) struggling with transitioning into adulthood. Lastly serving couples within private practice.

I enjoy working collaboratively with clients of all shapes, sizes, and colors. As a BIPOC Clinician from a marginalized group, I have a passion for serving those in my community.

I apply narrative therapy to help YOU become the AUTHOR of your own story. I support my clients in holding the pen to change their narrative. To break free from any stories that no longer serve them.

I enjoy international travel, learning about various cultural customs! This gives me a unique perspective to meet client's at the core of who they are. I invite clients to teach me about their world view and unique cultural experiences so I can best serve them.
